Microsoft’s “Introduction to AI Literacy” is a beginner-level, five-module learning path for K–12 and higher-education educators, instructional coaches, and school leaders that focuses on using AI thoughtfully and responsibly in education. It helps educators understand what AI can and cannot do, identify tasks where AI is useful versus where human judgment is essential, apply the AI Literacy Framework to classroom and school situations, and develop practices based on verification, privacy, transparency, integrity, and human accountability. The course also introduces practical Microsoft Education AI tools and emphasizes continuous reflection so teachers can evaluate the effects of AI-assisted decisions over time; it requires no prerequisites and aligns with ISTE and UNESCO educator and AI competency frameworks.
